Design a Boat
In science class this week Filip investigated how to make a boat that floats.
Here is Filip’s report:
He used: Plasticine and a tub of water
What we did with them: We made different designs of boats
What it looked like? Did it float? Why? How many passengers could it hold before sinking?
This boat was very fat, big like a ball No It didn’t look like a boat and it was a circle shape
This boat was very long and a little bit deep No I think no because it wasn’t deep enough
It was a good shape. It was very deep in the middle Yes Because it was deep in the middle. Had a good shape. It help 13 passengers before it sank.
The best boat was the last one. The shape is really important.
