In November 1884 Michael Cusack founded the Gaelic Athletic Association (the GAA).


The GAA wanted people to play Irish games.


The drew up rules for each sport.


Maurice Davin was the first president of the GAA.A national Stadium was built called Croke Park after its patron Archbishop Croke.

Shoes were much heavier.

Nowadays shoes are much lighter.

It would have been harder to run in the past.

There would be more scores nowadays because they have lighter shoes.

In the past they wore long sleeved clothes so they might get hot running around.

There will be more scores now a days because they have light shoes and can run faster.

They had long clothes and might have been hotter running around in the past.

The head of the Hurley now is rounder than the ones in the past.

The men were wearing big heavy boots.

I prefer the uniforms now than the ones back then because you would get too hot back then.
